The essence of music and the truth behind hip-hop
Today, something interesting happened to me, which triggered the writing of this article.
For a long time, I have wanted to express my opinion on the issue of which music one is supposed to listen to.
There is so much fuss in town about ; this supposed "truth behind hip hop".
I remember one occasion where, a very good friend of mine who is a christian sat in the same car with me.
And the sound playing was hip-hop, She immediately went, please put that off, its not right to listen to this kind music. Do you know what this kind of music can do to you.
I was utterly surprised at her reaction. I didn't blame her much though, its all the fear and conditioning, the supposed truth behind hiphop videos had had on her.
One time I was sitting in the couch watching tv, with one friend when Jay-z came up . The song was the EMpire state of mind. She immediately turned the channel, and I was like why, I really like that song. Please put it back there She went like no, she cant listen to Jay-z, Jay-z is manipulating the masses with his music and winning souls for the devil. It was the most liducrous thing I had ever heard.
What happened today, that actually got me to write this article, is a magazine I got from the Jehovah Witness that had Music boldly written on the cover page.
The brother who gave me the magazine, said the words..." we have to be mindful of the kind of music we listen to , because music is one thing that connects with our heart..
That was a true statement , one that I wont even argue with.
First of all, its important we deal with the root cause of things, something a very good friend always says.
We have been long looking outside and pointing fingers at other sources apart from us.
We always think there is an outside factor that is causing to suffer from this or that.
But the truth is, we are the cause of all our own problems.
The truth is that there is a whole lot of work, that we have to do at home. Its not necessary criticizing Hiphop as a culture or religion , that is winning souls for the devil.
Personally I dont believe that, but I want to stand apart from this whole picture..
IF you will stand apart from it too, Its about someone coming to you, and telling you a story about their life.
In the end, you choose to hear what you want to hear.
You need to realize you are medium, who you are is what you hear . For example when I hear the sound EMpire State of mind; what I get from the music at the end is a state of mind in which you can accomplish anything, and it always means hustling your way through . A friend I have sees things quite differently, he perceives it to be something about Jay-z talking about how powerful he is and he being equal to Jesus and etc.
Thees are all things I didnt pay attention to in the music. Its necessary to create a filter, its necessary we learn to pay more attention to the positive side of everything.
What about if you go somewhere, where the only music you can hear is only hiphop. What you need to do is to focus on the good side of the music.

When it comes to soul music, nothing makes it sound so beautiful than a music that comes from the heart.
Anthony Hamilton is a true definition of what true soul music is about in this time, His beautiful Unique Voice makes me warm inside, and nothing sends the message across as beautiful as his voice.
From songs to adore the beauty of ya lady and make love to songs to apologize and ask for forgiveness from ya lady when ya relationships get all bumpy.

Today I am going to talk about one of my all time favorites. John Roger Stephens popularly known as John Legend.
This young man is one the most talented musicians on the face of the earth. His songs hit me because, they are always telling a heartfelt story.
Its either the love of a woman, his love for a woman or the love for people. He sings about the core happenings of relationships; infatuations, the magical starts and much more.
Listening to sounds like ordinary people, this time, so high, stay with you will get you in touch with his soul. Even much more brilliant songs; if you are out there, some time.
I cant talk about John's history here, wikipedia will do a better job.
But the first time I heard him sing, I could tell his music is an eventful catharsis: As he releases so much emotions through it, with the way he hits the pitches and hums.
Well music is a wonderful way to transmute such emotional energy whether negative or positive and John Legend is one guy who does it flawlessly.
I actually wish I could sing like him. I guess I have lots voice training to do, to sing like him. But its all good and I will follow through with it.

My all time favorite music collection
I did some programming back in the days and we usually start with Hello World.
Well here too, Hello World this is a blog about my all time favorite collection.
I love music and I want to share with the world the sounds that touch my heart.
